Stamp Junkies Friendship Challenge

This challenge is sponsored by Catherine Pooler.
The color scheme for this challenge are the colors on Catherine Poolers SOA box ( pink, orange, turquoise, and white).

For my first two cards I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink colors Carved Pumpkin, Peacock Feather and picked raspberry to water colored on water color paper. The first card I stamped the sentiments and flowers from CAS-ual Fridays Girlfriend stamp set  with SSS Intense Black Ink. I used Versa Mark and stamped some flowers then heat embossed with ranger detail white, I also stamped the over the sentiments with versa mark and clear heat embossed them. I mounted this finished Piece on black card stock then on SU Bermuda Bay. to wrap it up I added some white sparkling enamel dots from Virginia Turtle,

for my next card I  die cut MFT's Fluttering Butterflies out of the water colored piece. Then I arranged three more on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock and was careful not to lose my pieces( I need then to put in the open spaces of the butterflies. I attached a piece of Stick It to the back and began inlaying the butterflies. The butterfly bodies were Die cut in black and so was SSS Friends die. I used the blanket stitch from MFT's Homespun Stitch Lines and did the edges of the card front then trimmed the edge and rufflrd the edge. I monted this finished piece on MFT Orange Zest and then SU Bermuda Bay.

I love how this turned out! It's very rare that I have an idea for a card and it doesn't take a turn in the process. Matter of fact I usually don't have an idea what I'm going to do when I sit down to create. I just feel my way through it. This card how ever is exactly what I envisioned very late the night before. I started it with a piece of watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers, Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberries. while the paper was dry i took the ink pads directly to the paper. the first color in a winding S then added the other two between the curves. I spritzed it with water and after the colors spread the way I wanted I dried it with a heat tool. To help the paper lay flat I ran it through my Big Kick. After I was thoroughly dry I stamped My sentiment and Hearts with SSS Intense Black ink. I die cut MFT Butterflies out of card stock then sprayed with adhesive. I placed these on my watercolor paper then applied Platinum Ferro with a spatula being careful not to get it on my stamped images. I like the way you can see the background through it. After this dried I mounted it on black card stock then on SU Pink Passion. I die cut SSS Friends out of black and cut the s off. Once this was glued in place I added Glossy Accents to the word friend and the hearts. I always do Glossy Accents last since I manage to mess it up otherwise. To wrap it up i sprinkled glitter on the hearts,

I had to use this stamp set. I just received it and love it. Using the CAS-ual fridays Must Have Snowflakes I stamped the sentiment from the set in SSS Intense Black ink on a Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock card base. Then I masked it off with a Molotow masking pen. I used various snowflakes from the same set and stamped them in SSS Doll Pink, Maliblue, and Orange Peel. I added some silver Wink Of Stella to finish my card.

I'll add cars to this post as I make them. My goal is to make one using each company I have in my stash.
