MFT Sketch Challenge 247 and Color Challenge 30

I have been super busy on top of falling down the steps of my motor home and spraining my wrist. It had to be my right one so I missed the last couple of challenges.
Enough of that on with the card. I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock. I stamped it with the dot background by MFT in Lemon Chiffon ink. Using the MFT Pierced Rectangle Frame I cut a piece of Gum drop Green card stock. The butterflies were cut using the MFT Flutter Of Butterflies Die-namic in Tropical Teal. The tiny one is from the Hip Clips Die-namic . I used MFT Spearmint and the Hip Clips Die-namic to cut the clip out. I used this same color to cut two thin strip to go on my vellum banner which is embossed using Ranger Liquid Platinum. I assembled my card and attached my vellum banner using two rivets.

I'm featuring one of CAS-UAL FRIDAYS stamp sets which can be purchased through Laura's Loft. This is the first time I have made a card and had it planned out before I started, usually I don't have a clue which direction my mind will go. I wanted my card to depict the tree having a glow of happiness.  I started with a piece of Neenah solar white 80 lbs card stock cut 4" x 5 1/4 ". I stamped my first tree in MFT Chocolate Brown die ink and then second generation stamped the rest slightly higher to give the impression of depth. Then I used a make up sponge wedge and SSS duckling hybrid ink and created a glow of light around my focal tree. I used the same technique for the grass and sky using SSS Lake Shores and Willow. The hearts on the tree are stamped in SSS High Dive, Melon, MFT Orange Fizz and Ranger Distress Festive Berries. Then accented with Glossy Accents. To finish up my card my sentiment is embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum and mounted on a MFT Gumball Green Base. This is such a fun set with so many possibilities.

On this stop it's all about the leaves!
As Summer is leaving us and we head into Fall I've been thinking of how beautiful the leaves will be as they change into those gorgeous warm colors of Fall.

Here is my Everything Fall Card!

I started with a 1/4 sheet of Canson watercolor paper and taped it down. I then took an old paint brush and applied Winsor & Newton watercolor masking fluid around the perimeter in a wonky rectangular shape. As I was applying it some of it would come back off in streaks which gave it a cool effect. Water was spritzed on the paper followed by Ranger Dylusions ink sprays in Lemon Zest, Cherry Pie, Fresh Lime, Squeezed Orange, Vibrant Turquoise, and London Blue. After letting it dry thoroughly I cut it down to 4" by 5 1/4". Next I stamped the girl with the rake and the leaves from MFT's Thankful Friend set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White 80lbs card stock and colored them with Copics.

Then I cut them out using my new Brother SNC2 which saved me lots of time. Using the sentiments from the same set I embossed the outer one in Ranger Ultra Fine White and stamped the inside with SSS black, I also added leaves to the inside. To assemble the card I first made a pile of leaves and distributed the rest to look like the wind blew them, then added Glossy Accents. The girl was popped up on fun foam and so was the watercolor paper piece. I placed the finished piece on a 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" piece of MFT Gumdrop Green card stock and then attached it to my card base.

Here is my Everything Fall Project!

Wonder what to do with those Stampin' Up wood blocks after you've unmounted them? Well here is a wonderful project just for them.

I picked out blocks to fit what I wanted to put on them then painted them with Deco art Patio paint in fall colors.

I let this dry while I worked on cutting my letters and saying out of Brown Vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo and applied them to the blocks. All that was left to do after that was to stamp my leaves using MFT's dye ink in Gumdrop Green, Cranberry Cocktail, Safety Orange, and Fuse green and Hot Fudge. I let this dry over night. You can either glue the blocks that say fall on or you can just stack them. I like the versatility so mine are not glued.

I'm so glad you stopped by and hope you enjoyed my creations. I'd love to hear from you in the comments section and feel free to follow me and checkout my other post. Up next is Raquelle just click the Next button to continue on the hop and see what awesome talent she has in store for you!

Harvest Mouse In The Pumpkin Patch

I just love these mice in the MFT Harvest Mouse set.  There are so many possibilities.

I started off by using MFTs happy camper and creating my camper for my mice to harvest their pumpkins.I wanted the opening of the door to show a pile of pumpkins so I cut a rectangle out where the door would be. Next I used MFTs treeline die namic and I cut to pieces of Neenah solar white cardstock. I positioned my camper over this piece of Neenah white card stock and made a couple of pencil marks so I would know where to stamp my pumpkins for them to show through the door.

Next I used my Copic markers to color the pumpkins and the rest of the background so that it look like a grassy hillside. I cut a piece of hundred and ten pound card stock at 5 1/2 and scored it at 4 1/4 to make my card base. Using snow cone nd Summer Splash dye ink I created a sky. Next I spent several pumpkins and a couple mice from MFT harvest mouse set and colored them with Copics.. Using my new Brother Scan N Cut 2 I cut them out. To finish my card I stamp my sentiment in versa fine black ink and heat and embossed it using clear embossing powder. I assembled the rest of my card and added glossy accents to my pumpkins. I love how this turned out and hope you do too. Thanks for stopping by come back soon.

You Made My Day

The MFT color challenge colors are Blue Raspberry, Tinkle Pink, Daffodil,  and Razzle Berry.
I decided for this challenge I wanted to use MFT'S bicycle and ride the wave die namics. First I cut the bicycle out of white card stock and colored it using a Stampin' Up blender pen with blue raspberry and razzle berry die ink. I colored the tires and seat with black copic and the spokes with silver gell pen. Using the ride the waves die namic I cut one of each of the colors. As I layer this out I decided I needed a sun and what better than the MFT Sun Ray cover up cut out of Daffodil. I used the negative ofvthe die cut. My sentiment is stamped in SSS black and it is from MFT'S Wave Greetings. After assembling my card on a 110 lb white card base I added black gell pen stitches and Glossy Accent to the bike and sentiment. This was such a fun card. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for dropping in, come back soon!

Primitive Pumpkin Treat Card

Starting with a piece of 110lb white cardstock I cut it to 5 1/2 ×11 then scored it at 4 1/4. Using MFT'S Primitive Pumpkin  set I created a background on my card base. I used MFT dye ink colors Gumball Green, Kraft, Cranberry Cocktail, and Orange Fizz. Next I used Blueprints 14's square with the one rounded side and cut one from Kraft and another from Cranberry Cocktail. The sentiment and the star garland are embossed with Ranger white ultra fine. To finish the pocket I took the rounded corner of the Cranberry Cocktail piece and folded it down then added some twine and a button. Oh and I almost forgot I stamped some pumpkins in the same ink colors and fussy cut them. I added some to the pocket and in the pocket. Through in some Kit Kats and I was all finished. Thanks for taking time to stop by.
