Sail Away Simon Says Stamp July card kit

I finally received my SSS card kit  and it is awsome. I used the little sail boat die and cut it out of several of the printed papers in the kit. I also had some wood grain printed paper I used to cut the hull and the staff. I use some of my le plume markers to color the little flags. I chose the piece of paper that was light grey with seagulls on it as a background piece . I had made a stencil to go with my cloud cover up by my favorite things by taking the plastic that is inside the pack of bacon and running the die through my big kick machine. First I made me a sunset and then I use this stencil and some  white pigment ink and created my clouds. I did add a little bit of orange and pink to the bottom of the clouds to give it that reflection from the Sun. To make my waves I used MFT making waves die and cut two different shades of blue. I dabbed a little bit of white pigment ink on the tips of the waves just to  give them that look that you see at the beach. I cut a piece of vellum to the size of my background and embossed in Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder my sentiment. You can't have an ocean scene without seagulls so I added them with a Multiliner black pen. I used my favorite things blueprint 25 and cut the red cardstock that came with the kit and mounted everything on it and then mounted it to a white card base. I really love how this turned out. MFT Sketch Challenge 235

Looking at this sketch the first thing that came to mind was a donut. So I pulled out my MFT Donuts and Sprinkles. First I created a donut with my SU 2 1/2" circle punch and 1 1/4" circle punch. Using my distress markers I designed it. I used my cross stitch circle stax and cut a piece of brown card stock to go behind the donut. The label and fish tail tag were cut using blueprints 13. I stamped my sentiment in mft chocolate fudge ink. Fun foam was used to pop up the donut, fishtail tag and label.

MFT Sketch Challenge 234 and Color Challenge 24

What beautiful colors for this challenge blue rasberry, lemon chiffon, persimmon, and sweet tooth. Using a die from blueprints 15 I cut the stripes from persimmon and lemon chiffon. The frame is from the stitched rectangle stax and is cut out of blue rasberry and the background is sweet tooth cut using blueprints 24 Looking at the sketch I thought MFTs lollipop additions birthday would be perfect so I stamped the first layer in blue rasberry then stamped the sentiments in versafine black .  I then punxhed then outvusing my SU 1 3/8 punch and popped them up on pop dots. Instead of a sentiment stamped on strip in the middle I choose to use Lawn Fawns birthday border die.  Thanks for droppin in. Come back soon

MFT Summer School lesson 3

From the moment I saw Mama Elephants Chance Of Rain I knew I had to stamp the umbrella upside down and put the two people in it as a boat. I had to use a little bit of masking and then colored them with copics. The waves were cut with Lawn Fawns stitches hills from SU soft sky and lost lagoon. I used the MFT Cloud Cover up the cut the clouds out. I used two different MFT Blueprint dies to make my background layers. Thanks for dropping in.

MFT Sketch Challenge 232

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for this sketch challenge. I had stamped some images to try the no line copic coloring, in between rounds drag racing, when it came to me. I decided the kittens from MFT's I Knead You set would be perfect. I chose a scalloped rectangle from MFT Blueprint 20 and cut my background paper. The three stitched circles were cut out of Stampin' up Tangerine Tango using Blueprints 18 and mounted on fun foam. I thought It would be cute to have real yarn run all over the card so I stamped the ball of yarn in Stampin' up Lost Lagoon and used a piece of yarn in the same color. My sentiment is stamped in Stampin' up Lost Lagoon on a piece of Neenah Solar white which was die cut using Blueprints 13. Thanks for stopping by come back soon.

ENTRY for MFT Sketch Challenge 230.

When deciding what to do in designing this card I knew I wanted to use the MFT Fishnet Cover up, I had just received in the mail, and inlay cardstock. Stamping MFT start each day with a whee in brown memento ink on Neenah Solar White and coloring with Copics. The little girl was fussy cut and adhered to a tag cut with MFT Blueprints from SU Chocolate Chip. I used MFT Blueprints 25 and cut the banner out and embossed the sentiment with Ranger detail white embossing powder. The tag is popped up with fun foam and I added some pearls.

Happy Moo-ther's Day card

My Mother's loves animals of all types and My Favorite Things just had this awsome release. I thought I would get creative and make a card using these incredible products but I needed a mother's day sentiment. While out delivering the mail my little brain was just going and it came to me. HAPPY MoO-tHeR's DAY, and the inside  sentiment? I UDDERLY LOVE YOU. So now how to pull this off.
I pulled out MFT The Whole Herd and decided to use the letters in the sentiments, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Neenah Solar White and create the one I wanted. I pulled out my MISTI and masked off the letters and after a couple tries I did it.
Using Tim Holtz Broken China and a blending tool I created my sky. I then cut all my elements out using MFT'S Rolling Hills, Barn, and Grassy Fields. The cow is from The Whole Herd colored with Copics and the farm girl is from BB Green Pastures also colored with Copics.
Now for assembly.  The Stampin'up Old Olive hill was placed behind the Stampin'up Mossy Meadow one. The sentiment was fussy cut, placed on a square of Neenah cardstock and mounted behind the barn doors. I attached the rest of the barn elements and pope it up with Stampin'up dimensionals. I placed the cow to the left also popes up and added some grass. The inside sentiment was fussy cut along with the farm girl and placed on the inside. I then grounded her with some grass.
I love the results and hope my mother does also.
